OTIS

Home Sweet Home

Otis came to live with us on Friday 18 January 2008. Christopher saw him on the website on Wednesday and went down to the kennels he was being held at on the Friday with strict instructions from me not to bring him back straight away as we were occupied all weekend moving stuff out of a house I had just sold and I thought we should wait to bring him home until we could both be around.... needless to say at 3pm I received a text telling me Otis was asleep in the back of the car on his way back to his new home!!

Otis We both fell in love with him straight away. Since he has joined our family Otis has discovered rabbits, chasing cats and playing football with my mother-in-law's Ridgeback who lives a couple of adjoining doors away. Having a big baby to play with has given 10 year old Safi a new lease of life and someone other than the postman for her to shout at! He is a gentle giant and his favourite things include: sleeping, home made liver biscuits, listening to Miles Davis!, playing with his kang, going on adventures with his 'dad' in the paddock, watching cars through the landing window, sitting outside the bedroom door and "talking" when he wants attention and eating flip flops (don't ask!!). He is friends with everyone and even likes to watch football on the TV!! He will be 1 year old in a couple of weeks and I don't doubt that we will be spoiling him rotten!!

We are so lucky to have spotted Otis when we did because I am certain that the first person to meet him would have taken him home with them and then our little family wouldn't have been as complete (or as mental!) as it is with him in it. We hope he is just as happy to be part of our pack! Christopher, Giovanna and Otis - 13th June 2008
