Thanks from Leo (and Rob and Debbie)
Leo
came to live with us almost three months ago (20th February 2011) from the
kennels under the care of Kay. At first a shy, typically aloof chap with few
expectations; we have seen his true character blossom as his confidence has
grown around us and in his new home.
Leo has been introduced to a number of new experiences. These have included his first holiday in Cornwall; camping in Dorset, where he swam in the sea; long walks in the Cotswolds where we live and foraging forays to Cheltenham’s food shops wearing his new panniers to help carry all of his treats.
His first night with us, he was a little confused and uncomfortable with the situation; but he soon began to settle and has exhibited no long term negative character traits that can sometimes be found in rescue dogs. He has become a confident and very expressive dog, particularly early in the morning when he comes to wake us up and let us know that he is ready for his morning walk!
It
has been a great journey for us over the last few months getting to know
Leo, and we couldn’t imagine living without him now. So thanks to all
involved at the Rhodesian ridgeback rescue association for introducing us
and keep up the good work.
