Kiska is 5 years old, I have had her since she was 15 months, Ochi is 15 months old and I have had him since he was 10 months. Kiska is the gentlest kindest Ridgie I have ever known, although she still retains that delightful quality of independence and naughtiness that seems to be a trait of the breed. Ochi is a hoodlum with a heart! He had no manners at all when I got him but is learning quickly, he is a highly intelligent boy and the biggest thief I have ever met.
I have had Ridgebacks for 25 years and to me they are the ultimate dog. I wish people would research the breed before acquiring one though, they are not a dog for the inexperienced.

They both live happily with my 3 terriers and 5 cats. The dogs and I are usually up and out walking the fells at 5am most mornings, they play in the stream, run for miles. Everyone I know has now learned to do the 'Ridgeback shuffle' as they never look where they are going and have a tendency to bowl into you at full speed! Thank you RR rescue, they are my pride and joy.
