Jake

On
25th August 2008 my life changed completely.
On that day 2 strangers arrived at the house, I had lived in for almost 3
years, a three story town house. I lived there with a lady, her
teenage daughter, her teenage son and a bossy collie bitch; I was quite
happy there.
I tried to hide from the two strangers by running upstairs but eventually
they took me for a walk to a nearby field and they tried to make friends
with me. Then they put me in a car and took me for a short ride. They must
have liked me because when we came back they had a chat with the lady of the
house and then put me back in the car. I was taken for a long ride to a
place in Leicestershire where I now live in a quite large bungalow in a
village.
My life is now completely different. I go with my man to the fields almost
every day, where he has horses and sometimes I go with him when he goes
riding in the fields. I enjoy this very much. We go walking round the
village every evening and I can let myself out into a large garden whenever
I like.

I
have been taking my man to obedience classes for the last four months and
we have our Bronze and Silver certificates; we will be doing our Gold soon.
My man has a 9 year old granddaughter whom I play with, she has a collie
bitch called Pip who is a bit grumpy but we are friends. I also live with a
little cat called Kitty, sometimes I chase her, but sometimes I cuddle her.
Life is very enjoyable.

It really does make the emotional highs and lows associated with rescue all
the more worthwhile when something such as Jake's win occurs.
Well done to you Jake, and your "Man" on a wonderful achievement
