BIGGLES

Biggles

His tail hung down to the ground, his eyes were tiny slits and he weighed 65 pounds. When we spoke to Neil a few days earlier, we had asked if it was wise to rename a 6 month old puppy. "What name were you thinking of"? I can still remember Neil's instant agreement that "Biggles" was absolutely right.

Biggles hadn't had a very good time until then. His personal hygiene left something to be desired and he had plainly seen very little daylight. ( It was a good month before he could go out without squinting). He could not run across the lawn without a rest at the end, or falling over with the effort. Despite this start, he was (and is) the friendliest and most amiable dog we have ever known. He bounced across, eager to see and experience everything.
It was certainly instant bonding on our side. (Instant bounding on his!) He is now 18 months old, and has more friends than he knows what do with. Strangely, although unbelievably strong and energetic, he is the most laid back, and least destructive dog imaginable.

We could not have found a better friend, and will be eternally grateful to the club for bringing us together (especially Neil and Sheila).
