Find a Rescue Dog

The WalkMoss Valley Walk  Saturday October 23rd 2010 in Aid of Rescue

Having given the persistent rain every chance to desist, we began our walk in the beautiful Moss Valley, in a downpour! What we lacked in numbers we more than made up for in spirit! We few, we happy few, we band of brothers........... oops, sorry, got carried away there, right speech wrong era!!

The WalkAll dogs were able to run off lead together, with never a cross word. There was no chance of meeting bikers, runners or riders, and although we occasionally met people with other dogs, they just joined in the general melee!! Despite the damp conditions, everyone seemed to have a good time. The hounds certainly did!

At the end of the walk the four legged among us were dried off and put into their respective cars to have an hour or so snoozing after their exertions. We on the other hand (the two legged that is) took refuge at the Bridge Inn for an excellent lunch and a gentle "steam" before a roaring open fire!

The WalkersThe day proved a great success in every way and raised a total of £205.00 for Rescue. Our thanks to all who took part.
