Regrettably
the Christmas Party has had to be cancelledWe would like to thank all who made advanced reservations in support of this event, the proceeds of which have always gone to the Rescue Fund. Sadly reservations were not of a sufficient number to make the event viable. This may be due to the current economic climate or perhaps a Christmas Party is not something that the majority want. Any comments on the matter, or indeed any other matter, would be most welcomed in our newly launched Guestbook. Reservation
refunds will be made as soon as possible. We hope that all who
booked will not be too disappointed. |

RESCUE APPEALThe number of unwanted Ridgebacks being helped by Midlands & Northern Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue continues to grow. This trend shows no sign of abating and is acting as an ever-accelerating drain on Rescue’s financial resources. Without your help, in the not to distant future, Rescue will be insolvent. If you would like to help, or indeed have an interest in re-homing a Ridgeback, please go to the Re - Homing Page for further details.Thank You |

Welcome to the Midlands & Northern Rhodesian Ridgeback Club's Rescue Web Site.
It
is a sad fact that there are Ridgebacks that need re-homing and their number
is increasing each year.
The reasons for parting are many ranging from the genuine such as the death of an owner, to the absurd, "he's too big and boisterous"! (he is a Ridgeback after all!)
The Midlands & Northern Ridgeback Rescue are asked to re-home both dogs and bitches from as young as four months to the oldies of twelve and thirteen years. Our rescue co-ordinator, Janice, works tirelessly to find them permanent homes matching dogs and prospective owners to ensure, to the best of our abilities, that it will be the last time the dog has to go through the trauma of being "passed on".
Sadly, despite the best efforts of all Ridgeback Clubs, the number of Ridgebacks that are in need of re-homing continues to grow. Profits from all our rescue events together with all donations are utilised in aiding the rescue of these unfortunate dogs.
Our sincerest thanks to everybody who has contributed both their money and their time in raising funds for Ridgeback Rescue.
